Event Information
The Event We haven't been at West Melton Forest for a while and it has changed quite a lot with all of the logging that has taken place. Fortunately, they have put in the horse trails again and it is good going. Some areas may be a little rougher for barefoot horses, however, if your horse is used to being barefoot this should be fine. Err on the side of caution with boots if in doubt. Parking will be in a paddock which we have kindly been given access to by Fulton Hogan which is accessed from the float park. This will ensure the float park is kept mainly clear of traffic and vehicles. More detail will be provided with the Ride Brief.
There is a toilet available. There is no water at the ride base so please bring your own water if needed for your horse and self.
Registration Ride registration is open on Evo Events. Please click on the button below to sign up and enter. Registration will close on Thursday 27th July. No late entries will be accepted so please get your entries in and if you are unable to attend notify us before the event and we will refund you.
Only confirmed registered riders will be permitted to participate in the event.
If you are not a current ESNZ member you will need to pay an ESNZ $5.00 Casual Fee to cover your insurance for this event. Please select this option with your entry if applicable.
If you are a CETRC Member you can benefit from the $5.00 discount off the ride fee. Please select this option with your entry if applicable. Event Classes We are offering a 10km, a 5km and a 5km lead rein We will post the Ride Brief once registration has closed and entries confirmed.
